While Lower Manhattan has long been the center of commerce in the city, its options for foodies have been few and far between. However, the completion of luxury retail development Brookfield Place is about to change the way connoisseurs of fine cuisine view the newly revitalized neighborhood. Boasting two levels of foodie fun, including quick casual cuisine at Hudson Eats and a French-inspired gourmet marketplace dubbed “Le District,” it’s clear that Brookfield place is bringing much-needed edible artistry to the area.

While developers have already banked on the neighborhood’s success, it seems that restaurateurs are following shortly behind, with eateries including Dos Toros Taqueria, Little Muenster, and Umami Burger all setting up shop inside Brookfield’s high-end halls. With acclaimed shopping, dining, and new luxury condominiums all moving into the area, it’s no wonder new residents are eager to take a bite out of this downtown destination.
