When Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich opened 50,000-square foot Eataly back in 2010, foodies came from far and wide to sample the Italian marketplace’s offerings. Now, the acclaimed duo is hoping they can get lightning to strike twice with a new branch of Eataly in Lower Manhattan.

With high-end retail setting up shop in real estate developments like Brookfield Place and the World Trade Center, Batali and Bastianich are banking on both of the neighborhood’s new residents and current businesses to provide them a new client base. Thanks to their new location in 4 World Trade Center, that won’t be hard, with countless visitors stopping into the new commercial hub each day to visit the likes of Apple and Mont Blanc, among the development’s many other luxury stores. While the Financial District’s lure is prompting excited chatter among the countless hopeful transplants to the area, Batali and Bastianich need utter only two words to guarantee their business is a success: buon appetito.
